Our history
From a TU Braunschweig spin-off to a worldwide platform.
DOCby.net was founded in 2001 as a technology spin-off of TU Braunschweig. The original idea: cut through email overload and project chaos with an online solution that pools information and processes - across disciplines, industries and locations. Here are the milestones.

A star is born
Founded as a technology spin-off of TU Braunschweig. Our motto from day one: RELAX - get organized! We set out to make life easier for everyone involved in a project.
2002
Proof of concept: IKEA Berlin Tempelhof
DOC.project goes live with the IKEA Berlin Tempelhof project: managing over 9,000 plans, more than 4,000 additional documents and around 17,000 organised messages - a full success.
2006
First vision for DOC.mobile
When the Metro Group took over the WALMART chain, Rainer David designed software for the mobile capture of all properties - the origin of DOC.mobile.
2010+
ISO 27001 - audited by DEKRA
Introduction of an information security management system (ISMS) to guarantee strictly confidential handling of all customer information. Regular DEKRA audits to ISO 27001.
2012
The Squaire / Frankfurt long-distance station
Starting shot for the DOC.mobile rollout at the Frankfurt long-distance station - 660 m long, 9 floors, 145,000 sqm, 80 trades. Mobile data capture during the warranty phase, including data migration from legacy systems.
